Tea 101

Water is the most consumed beverage in the world.  Tea is second.

All tea comes from a plant called Camellia sinensis , which ihe sole species of tea grown today. 

The Camellia Sinensis is an evergreen plant originating in China.   It consists of a number of hybrids.  Differences in processing, quality and preparations are the bases for the creation of tea categories or classifications; the younger the buds and leaves, the higher the quality.  Soil, altitude and other environmental conditions also play a vital role is the quality of the plant.
